Reverse The Refused Planning Permission On The White House Hotel Abersoch

Gwynedd council rejects a planning application for a new £7.8 million hotel in Abersoch because of concerns over lack of affordable housing.

Broomco wanted to demolish the “eyesore” former White House Hotel to build a new site and 18 apartments, whilst also contributing a substantial amount of money towards affordable housing off-site

Benefits to the area include:

•      a £7.8m investment in construction and supporting local infrastructure

•      65 full-time construction jobs (Gwynedd has 250 unemployed residents seeking work in construction);

•      65 full-time jobs (100 to 120 in peak season) in the hotel;

•      Local sourcing of produce, services and goods amounting to £1.5m spend locally per annum;

•      Guest local spend of c£130,000 per annum; and

•      25% increase in much needed high quality bed stock.

•      The list goes on!!!

The regeneration of this site is of paramount importance in this gateway location.

The scheme will bring about real, local economic benefits.

The proposal offers local employment opportunities and the opportunity for apprenticeships, education and training for local people.

This is a scheme that will be delivered by a Welsh company to the benefit of Abersoch and the whole of the Llyn peninsula.

Mae Cyngor Gwynedd wedi gwrthod cais cynllunio ar gyfer gwesty newydd £ 7,800,000 yn Abersoch oherwydd pryderon am ddiffyg tai fforddiadwy.

Mae Broomco eisiau dymchwel y “hyll” cyn Gwesty Tŷ Gwyn i adeiladu safle newydd a 18 o fflatiau, tra hefyd yn cyfrannu swm sylweddol o arian tuag at dai fforddiadwy oddi ar y safle

Mae manteision i’r ardal yn cynnwys:

• buddsoddiad o £ 7.8m mewn adeiladu a chefnogi seilwaith lleol

• 65 o swyddi adeiladu llawn-amser (Mae gan Gwynedd 250 o drigolion di-waith yn chwilio am waith yn y diwydiant adeiladu);

• 65 o swyddi llawn-amser (100-120 yn y tymor brig) yn y gwesty;

• Defnydd o gynnyrch lleol, gwasanaethau a nwyddau gwerth £ 1.5m y flwyddyn;

• Gwariant lleol o tua £ 130,000 y flwyddyn

• Cynnydd o 25% mewn stoc gwely o ansawdd uchel.

• Mae’r rhestr yn mynd ymlaen!!!

Mae adfywio’r safle hwn yn hollbwysig

Bydd y cynllun yn sicrhau manteision economaidd gwirioneddol, yn lleol.

Mae’r cynnig yn creu cyflogaeth lleol a’r cyfle ar gyfer prentisiaethau, addysg a hyfforddiant ar gyfer pobl leol.

Mae hwn yn gynllun a fydd yn cael ei ddarparu gan gwmni o Gymru er budd Abersoch a Phenrhyn Llyn.
